Camila Calderón Quirgas, is a veterinarian and a Master of Science student studying Oceanography at the University of Concepción. Her work has been based on scientific research that she conducted 5 years ago on Whales and the ocean. She has a long-standing commitment to scientific dissemination, environmental education, and working with communities. The latter being the driving force behind her deciding to form a company that seeks to bring science closer to the community through art. (Textile recycling, sustainable products and games for children with illustrations of native and endemic fauna of Chile). Extensive experience in shipments, beach cleaning, workshops and talks on marine noise pollution, cetaceans, and the ocean in general, motivated her contribute from my area to the care of rivers, because the water from the rivers is not lost in the ocean, quite the opposite, healthy rivers will be healthy oceans.
